Mosque acoustic refit
The dome focused sound to the centre and speech was unintelligible. Keeping the existing timber appearance, surfaces were converted to micro-perforation and made-to-measure diffusers were produced for the curved zones.
Result
Reverberation time reduced from 3.4 s to 1.6 s; the perceptible echo at the centre was eliminated.
